What is covered in the apple macbook warrenty and how hot should my macbook be?
I bought a 08 refurb macbook that has 2.4Ghz and It looks like it comming apart on the left and right side of the touchpad and wondering if apple could fix it or not. And another question is My macbook gets around 56 degree C by just using the web and itunes? does that sound right? what could I do to cool it down. I never had a laptop before and I am just wondering.
56 degrees C isn’t hot at all. I have a 2.16 core 2 duo black MacBook and when I’m playing HD video or am playing a game or something, it’s got up to about 190+ degrees F (88 degrees C). Like Brian already said, keep the vents clear and if you want to use it on your lap, find a large, flat & hard object to set it on. I use a thin plastic cutting board slightly bigger in all directions then the MacBook. Besides, it’s more comfortable to use on your lap that way anyway. I would think the trackpad would be covered by the warrantee as long as it’s still under warrantee. Good luck.
