I got my Dell computer from Rent King. I want to restore it to its original configuration. How do I do that?
I am not the original owner and don’t know the original administrator password. How do i reset the passwords so that it will let me become the administrator?
Usually when the computer is starting up, you can hit either F10-F12 for system restore.
It will say it somewhere on the screen. Like either top or bottom. Make sure you are watching closely when the computer is just starting up. It will only give you a couple of seconds a lot of times so if you have to, just keep turning it off and on until you find it.
If you can’t find it there I am pretty sure you can go into your Control Panel and go to Performance and Maintenance. Then go to System Restore on the left side.
I don’t think you can go back to Factory Shipped though from that. Not sure. I know you usually have to have checkpoints for that one.
