Why is my laser keyboard really weird when i play games?
When i play COD4
my Laser Mouse (Microsoft 5000 Keyboard) seems to be weird.
The keys dont listen to what i pres att all, for example id press ‘w’ to go foward. after couple of seconds it stops. and when i press like
W and D it will stop or even not work.
I dont think its the batteries or the reciever cus i have tested it.

If your playing fast games with a keyboard, the fasted response time would be from a wired keyboard preferably using a PS /2 connection, which is dedicated socket just for the keyboard.
Any wireless keyboard [infra red or not] will always have a lag, between you pressing a key, which then has got to be turned into a signal and transmitted to the receiver, decoded and then the signal sent to the computer. They are also susceptible to electrical interference from other sources.
OK it maybe 4 or 5 milliseconds but that’s the difference of you getting shot or blown up, dying and losing the game!
